In my 20’s I took an oil painting class with my mom and sister-in-law. I never painted again until over 20 years ago when my sister-in-law introduced me to watercolors. The only class I was brave enough to take was the “very, very, very beginning watercolor” with Marian Alstad. I’ve been painting ever since and am still taking classes with Marian.

I paint on my center island at home in my kitchen and it only gets put away when I have company or go to class! I like watercolor because wonderful accidents can happen and because it sits on my island and is always ready to go. It has become one of my passions!

Watercolor allows me to translate what I see and make it into art and to make it my own expression. I want people to enjoy my art, the differences it evokes in them and the bold, bright colors in my paintings!
